Bloomsday in South Africa

The Embassy of Ireland to South Africa, with Bridge Books and Jacana Media, hosted a celebration of 100 years of Ulysses in Johannesburg’s Rand Club on Bloomsday eve, with performances by Veronica Cooke, Sechaba Morojele and Hlengiwe Lushaba Madlala.
The evening closed with the first live performance of Molly Bloom’s soliloquy in isiZulu.
