Information on applying for an Irish passport if you are resident in the United States of America.
The Embassy of Ireland in Washington DC accepts passport applications from Irish citizens resident in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands - Anguilla, Antigua, Barbuda, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Martinique, Montserrat, Netherlands, Antilles, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, Virgin Islands (US), Virgin Islands (British).
Paper applications will only be accepted for the territories listed above. All passport applicants resident in the United States (including Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia) must apply using the online passport service.
