The Wild Geese Society

The Wild Geese Society are a well-established Irish community organisation in Zambia who provide a supportive network to our Irish community and promote Irish culture there.

They have been in operation since the 1960s and are at the heart of the Irish Diaspora in Africa.

Along with smaller events throughout the year, the main events hosted by the society are the St Patrick's Day Ball and the Irish Sports Day.

The two events bring the Irish community and friends of Ireland together to celebrate Irish culture and identity.

Traditional Irish music and Irish dancing feature at the events, while Gaelic games and rugby are the focus of the sports day.
