Boston Currach Club
Boston Currach Club is based on a small harbour in Quincy, Massachusetts. The club is home to Irish immigrants and local Irish Americans and champions developing the culture of Currach rowing in the US. A grant from the Emigrant Support Programme allowed them to build a club boat and continue in promoting the boat.
In 2021, the club travelled from Boston to Albany, New York, Annapolis, Maryland, Pennsylvania three times, and to the Milwaukee Irish festival. This came to a total of 6,000 miles for the new boat, skippered each time by Irish American member Joe Keegan.
The Club came a close second in the North American Currach Championships and are looking forward to an even better 2022.
