‌Minister Martin’s remarks captured the very essence of what St. Patricks Day means to the Irish community, and friends of Ireland everywhere. Minister Martin’s visit was part of a major tourism trade mission to the UAE.

In addition to launching the official programme for the St. Patricks Day Festival at Expo, the Minister undertook an extensive schedule that included a visit to the Expo Leadership Pavilion to meet with Sheikh Ahmed, the Chairman of Emirates.

Minister Martin also participated in an Irish Business Network Dubai tourism sector event at Ireland’s Pavilion, which gave the Minister the opportunity to engage with a cross-section of Irish people active in the tourism and hospitality sector, including companies taking part in the Tourism Ireland Trade Mission.

The Minister also undertook a number of bilateral and trade events across Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
