Passport Online service

There is an additional €5 postal fee for each child application to cover the cost of returning documents to the applicant.

There is an additional €15 postal fee if you reside outside Ireland.

Please note that a single payment of €15 applies to applications for children resident outside Ireland. 

Passport postal service - applying via AnPost

An additional administrative fee for handling and Express Post delivery is paid directly to An Post. The fee for a single application is €9.50 and the fee for up to four applications made at the same time is €16.

Passport postal service - applying via postal service in Northern Ireland

The Northern Ireland Postal Service charges an additional administrative fee of £11 per passport application. You can choose to submit your passport postal service application from over 70 post offices in Northern Ireland.

Public counter applications made in Dublin and Cork

In addition to the fee for the passport, an additional appointment fee will apply as follows:

Cheques are not accepted.

Irish passports can be renewed for the above fees using Passport Online. Irish citizens resident in the countries listed here can apply for first time passports at the above costs using Passport Online.
