In view of the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in certain parts of China, we would like to remind Irish citizens how to contact the Embassy for support or assistance.

Any Irish citizen who tests positive for Covid-19, is impacted by policies addressing the pandemic, or who needs assistance for any other reason may contact the Embassy as follows:

- During office hours, please call the Embassy switch on 010-8531622.  For non-urgent queries, you can also reach the Embassy by email at IrishEmbassyBeijing@dfa.ie

- For emergency consular assistance after hours (including at the weekend or on public holidays) please call the Embassy duty phone on 13801056774. Leave a message with your name, contact number and brief details of the emergency and a member of the Embassy team will phone you back promptly.

- Irish citizens in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Jiangxi and Anhui should contact the Consulate General in Shanghai at +86 21 60101360.

Up to date travel advice can also be found on our website at China - Department of Foreign Affairs (dfa.ie).
