On the 100th anniversary of Ulysses, join us to celebrate ‘The Untold Stories’ and discover why the novel was banned not once but twice in Australia!

This Bloomsday, Ireland's Consulate in Sydney, in partnership with the University of Sydney, invites you to join the Prankqueans for a night of music, spoken word and song celebrating the lesser- known characters of James Joyce’s Ulysses.

Deemed the ‘hardest book to read’, ‘The Untold Stories’ will take an irreverent approach to Ulysses and involve audience participation as we explore some of the wonderful and stranger parts of this work documenting Leopold Bloom’s journey through Dublin.

This Prankquean led celebration of Joyce’s masterpiece will focus on lesser- known characters, many of them women, without whom this remarkable novel would never have come into being.

Audience warnings:

Passive participation not an option.

Mutton kidneys are however optional.
