Evening of Irish Music and Dance – Ulysses100

With the support of the Embassy of Ireland, Ljubljana Wind Orchestra (Pihalni orkester Ljubljana) held an evening of Irish music and dance on 28 May in Šentvid.

The event celebrated the 100th anniversary of the publication of James Joyce’s Ulysses, with copies of the work gifted by the Embassy to attendees. The evening showcased a wide range of classic Irish music, both traditional and modern.

The orchestra was joined by Slovenian Irish traditional music group D Brincl, and the performance was accompanied by a demonstration from local Irish dancing academy Šola irskega plesa.
