Good Friday Agreement: Our partners in peace

Peace and reconciliation on the island of Ireland would not have been possible without the steadfast commitment and support of the international community.

In particular, the longstanding friendship and commitment of the United States of America has always been a force driving forward our journey towards peace. This underpinned an intensive partnership for peacebuilding that transformed the lives of the people of Northern Ireland and right across the island.

On this 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, we recognise and appreciate ongoing US and international support for the peace process in Northern Ireland.
